• ABC renews Happy Endings, Apt. 23, Modern Family and more

ABC confirms that Happy Endings is coming back for it’s third season. The show, which stars Elisha Cuthbert, Eliza Coupe, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans Jr. and Casey Wilson, wrapped up its second season last month, faring well in the ratings and earning a loyal following. The show follows six friends, whose dynamic is shaken up when the couple who brought the group together splits. Many notable guest stars have popped throughout the two seasons, including Paul Scheer, Seth Morris and Megan Mullally.

The network also re-upped Modern Family (obviously), which is currently in its third season. Also renewed is Suburgatory and Don’t Trust The B—- in Apartment 23 (starring Krysten Ritter, James Van Der Beek and Dreama Walker) has been renewed for a second season. The Middle, which stars Patricia Heaton and has been on the air since 2009, will also return for a new season.

Rounding out the list is the new show How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, which stars former Scrubs star Sarah Chalke, Brad Garrett, Elizabeth Perkins and comedians Orlando Jones and Jon Dore. And finally a new project, Family Tools, starring Leah Remini, Kyle Bornheimer and J.K. Simmons has been greenlit to series.
