• Alec Baldwin: Donald Trump must be overthrown (Video)

Alec Baldwin demanded we overthrow Donald Trump and the government he’s installed. Although the actor and ongoing Saturday Night Live Donald Trump stand-in was impassioned throughout a speech he delivered Sunday night at a Democratic fundraiser in New Hampshire, Baldwin – who owns a history of hot-headed behavior – made it clear the this dismantling should be done by peaceful means.

“It is time to overthrow the government of Donald Trump. Not in any violent or unlawful way but it must be overthrown nonetheless,” Baldwin said at the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner. “The way we implement change in America is through elections. In that orderly way, we need to overthrow the government of the United States under Donald Trump.”

“Let’s overthrow the government of Donald Trump peacefully, lawfully and with extreme prejudice,” Baldwin said, his voice’s volume rising. “Let’s make America great again, by making Donald Trump a casino operator again.”

Beyond campaigning for Trump’s ouster, Baldwin laid out why he felt that needed to be done. The recent swearing-in of Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh, as you may have guessed, has a lot to do with it.

“[Republicans] view and treat women as human beings that are not entitled to the same constitutional protections that men are. They, themselves, are sons, husbands, fathers. And yet when the time arrived in the thick of the #MeToo movement to set politics aside and establish that women’s rights were more important than political expediency, they failed. And it was ugly,” Baldwin said. “You could’ve stood on the steps of any federal courthouse in this country and found a man or woman who was as qualified or more qualified than Kavanaugh. And the appointment of that person would’ve assured the American people that justice was all that matters inside the chamber of the Supreme Court. They did not do that.”
