• Animated Daniel Tosh series ‘Brickleberry’ for Comedy Central gets a premiere date

In August of last year, we reported that Comedy Central had greenlighted a new animated series called Brickleberry, which Daniel Tosh would serve on as executive producer. Well, now it’s got a release date: Sept. 25.

The series follows the misadventures of “a group of dysfunctional forest rangers at a national park that is facing closure until a new ranger comes in to whip everyone into shape and save the park,” according to the network’s official description. Tosh, in addition, to his helming duties — along with creators Waco O’Guin and Roger Black — will voice the character Malloy, a tiny brown bear. However, Comedy Central has not released information on who will voice the rest of the characters.

In February of 2010, Fox had ordered a Brickleberry pilot and eventually passed on the series. However, Tosh wasn’t connected to the project at the time. So, with Tosh’s star clout at an all-time high, it made total sense for Comedy Central to insert it’s boy into the show and get it to air.
