Big Jay Oakerson leads Netflix’s degenerate stand-up series

Netflix has released a trailer for their new stand-up showcase The Degenerates. The new original series will feature, what the trailer promises to be, crude, rude, and offensive comedy. The show has been confirmed for six 30-minute episodes featuring raunchy comics like Big Jay Oakerson, Joey Diaz, Liza Treyger, Yamaneika Saunders, Christina P., and Brad Williams.

The trailer doesn’t feature any jokes, rather it merely promises the viewer that this will be an all-out dirty and depraved night of comedy. With comedians like the often controversial Big Jay Oakerson—who was once called the “master of the dirty joke” by The New York Times’s comedy editor Jason Zinoman—the show will surely push the limits of acceptability. There will surely be tweets about one joke or another. Other comedians are more surprising additions to the Degenerates, such as Yamaneika Saunders who has gone on the record as being a church-going Christian.

Netflix is no stranger to comedy that pushes the envelope. From the new Ron White special, If You Quit Listening I’ll Shut Up, to the Netflix original movie, The Package, politically incorrect and gross-out comedy has always had a place in the streaming service’s line-up.

The Degenerates will premiere Tuesday, October 31st. What the trailer here:
