It seems Jessica Kirson is (finally) getting a one-hour Comedy Central special. Bill Burr and his All Things Comedy banner appears to be producing the special, which tapes in New York City next month.
Kirson is a comedy powerhouse long overdue for her own hour special. In recent years, her star power has picked up appearances on HBO’s Crashing, CBS’s Kevin Can Wait, and a role in the 2016 Robert De Niro film The Comedian. She’s been no stranger to late night TV, but the Comedy Central special will surely become her calling card in an age where it seems like everyone’s got a Netflix special. Most recently, she performed on an episode of This Week at the Comedy Cellar, also at Comedy Central.

The special is part of Burr and Al Madrigal’s overall deal they signed with the network earlier this year. In the deal, All Things Comedy will produce a half-hour stand-up series hosted by Burr as well as three hour-long specials. The first of those specials, Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This, premiered last month.
Kirson will tape the special during two shows on Friday, January 11, 2019. Tickets are available here.
