Chuck E. Cheese’s isn’t the place for adults to hang back, chill out and enjoy a day out with their children. And I speak from experience. Unfortunately, I’ve had to suffer through more than a few hastily planned, ill-fated birthday parties for one of my two son’s friends. Chuck E. Cheese’s is the place you go after enduring months of anger management classes, sort of as a final test. Because if you don’t snap in an over-crowded, poorly ventilated, massively loud warehouse full of brain-deadening video games and poorly-behaved children, you won’t snap anywhere or under any circumstance.
So it was only a matter of time before a massive brawl between adults went down at Chuck E. Cheese’s. And that’s exactly what happened at a Chuck E. Cheese’s location in, not surprisingly, Florida. High school student Krystel Jimenez caught some of the scuffle on video, saying, “two people got into a fight and then their families got involved.”
“Some of the children were crying, yelling and running away,” Jimenez told Inside Edition. “In the video, you can see the parents trying to find their kids to get them out as soon as possible.”
Officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department arrived at the scene but no one was arrested. And luckily it seems no one – adults or children – were seriously hurt.
“I think they were the ones acting like kids,” Jimenez says. “They were setting a horrible example for the children and probably traumatized them.”
