• Comedian Jimmy Pardo’s “Pardcast-a-thon” to benefit Smile Train set for Nov. 25

It’s that time of year again– time for comedian Jimmy Pardo’s Never Not Funny podcast marathon. This year marks the third annual Pardcast-a-thon, which once again will broadcast for 12 non-stop hours beginning Friday, Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. ET. And if ever there was a comedian who was capable of talking to other comedians for 12 hours straight, that comedian is Jimmy Pardo.

The Pardcast-a-thon will feature more than 20 guests and interviewees. Although the guest list for this year is not yet confirmed, past marathons have featured Jon Hamm, Rob Corddry, Sarah Silverman, Chris Hardwick, Aimee Mann, Tom Dreesen, Doug Benson, Maria Bamford, Greg Behrendt, Oscar Nunez, Paul F. Tompkins and Andy Richter.

As in previous years, this year’s Pardcast-a-thon will serve as a fundraiser to benefit Smile Train, a children’s charity for cleft lip and palate surgery. So you won’t have to feel ashamed when people look at you for having stayed up all night listening to a 12-hour podcast. You can hold your head high and say, “Yes! I listened to comedians talk to each other all night while the world slept, and it was for a good cause!”

Podcasting has been an enormously useful new medium for comedians to distribute content and gain new fans, and Pardo’s award-winning Never Not Funny podcast—which began in 2006—has been at the vanguard of the trend all along. Nearly every major comedy podcast has cited NNF as an influence and inspiration. Never Not Funny is a subscription-based podcast, and you can purchase current or past episodes at pardcast.com or listen to the first 20 minutes of any episode free.
