Comedian Kevin Hart launches iPhone app “Little Jumpman”

Comedian Kevin Hart is a man small in physical presence but huge in the world of comedy. And now he’s using his diminutive stature – a common theme in his stand-up – as the central theme of a new mobile phone application called Little Jumpman. Available starting today for 99 cents, the app is available through iTunes and directly through iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch. (Be sure to update your iPhone software to version 4.1).

The game is similar to the wildly popular Doodle Jump, in that gamers goal is to guide the main character (in this case, a comical cartoon version of Hart) up a series of platforms, dodging obstacles and trying to wrack up the most points possible. In addition to the game aspect of Little Jumpman, also acts as a traditional comedian smartphone site, where you’ll be able to access Hart’s YouTube channel, stream video clips and, when the time comes, purchase tickets and check out showtimes for his upcoming concert film Laugh At My Pain, out in theaters on Sept. 9.

The launch is a natural progression in Hart’s already hyper social media savvy. The Philadelphia-bred comic has nearly two million followers on Twitter, a Facebook page with almost four million members and a YouTube channel with 89,000 subscribers who have watched his clips more than 22 million times.
