Comedy Central snags Robert Kelly: Live at the Village Underground

Robert Kelly and Bobcat GoldthwaitRobert Kelly is coming back to Comedy Central next year. Comedy Central will broadcast Kelly’s latest one-hour special Robert Kelly: Live at the Village Underground in January 2015. Kelly financed the stand-up film independently with Apostle and originally premiered the special at The Rhode Island International Film Festival in August. This will be his first stand-up special on Comedy Central since his half-hour Comedy Central Presents special in 2008. The veteran comedian appeared as Louis C.K.’s brother Robbie on FX’s Louie as well as the short film Cheat, (which he co-wrote with Bill Burr and Joe De Rosa.¬†Kelly will soon be seen in Denis Leary’s new FX seers Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll next year, wherein he plays the drummer of a formerly famous band looking to get back in the spotlight. Kelly is also the host of the popular podcast You Know What Dude?
