• NBC confirms ‘Community’ finally has a premiere date (again)

NBC just confirmed what Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown and Alison Brie announced on Twitter today: that there’s finally a premiere date for Community‘s long-awaited fourth season. Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 pm is when it goes down. Community will become Parks And Recreation‘s lead-in, which will move up to 8:30 pm ET on Thursdays.

You may have noticed that this means Community will not take its expected slot on Fridays at 8:30 pm ET; instead, it’ll take the place of 30 Rock, which is in its final season. This is good news for Community, seeing as Friday is basically where sitcoms go to die.

Community was scheduled to premiere Oct. 19 along with the second season of Whitney as its lead-in. Whitney has since been moved to Wednesdays in the place of the just-canceled freshman sitcom Animal Practice. On the day it was supposed to premiere, the cast of Community released this video.
