Disney’s Frozen 2 ‘Animation Domination’ treatment is gruesome. Also, it’s hilarious (Video)

Commence the melting of our cold, dead, cynical hearts! Things were exciting enough when Disney first let it slip that there might be a sequel to Frozen, its hugely popular animated juggernaut. Exciting, if not terribly surprising: the film has since become the highest grossing animated movie of all time, and took home a slew of statuettes in 2014, including the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. But now, as was announced in Disney’s annual shareholder meeting, the sequel has been given an official 2018 release date, so if this isn’t the beginning of a zillion equally charming sequels, our hearts will likely return to a hardened, icy state. (Noting the irony here?)

But, as we all know, if there’s one product Disney churns out in high-quality abundance, it’s all-star sequels. Also tremendously encouraging is knowing that the original directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, will return to helm the project. Looks like both Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are already on board, too, because neither of these super sharp ladies is gonna step back from this franchise and say to herself, hmm, I think I’ll just let it go.

Anyway, it’s going to be a while before Frozen 2 actually hits theaters, but in the meantime, we have this lovely little “preview” of the forthcoming awesomeness, courtesy of the fine folks over in Animation Domination High-Def land. If you thought Elsa’s powers were incredible before, well, baby, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
