• Ellen DeGeneres leads Netflix’s December comedies

Netflix dropped a teaser for what’s coming to the streaming giant this December. The teaser includes everything from drama to documentary, but we are here to break down what comedies are dropping next month and what you should be excited for!

    Must-See Netflix Originals

    Dumplin’
Just watch this trailer. It is dripping in delicious camp. Plus Jennifer Aniston as a Southern beauty queen is so good that we have December 7 circled, underlined, and highlighted.

    New Original Series

    The Fix
There is no trailer yet, but Netflix describes the show as a panel show where “a rotating group of top comedians will take on the world’s toughest problems and try to come up with the perfect solutions.” Hear what Hollywood’s comedy stars have in mind on December 14.

The Hook Up Plan (Plan Coeur) coming December 7
A French romantic comedy series that looks like it just might fill the hole in your heart that Broad City left. But with subtitles. The Hook Up Plan dumps its first season December 7. Watch the trailer here:

New Seasons Because We’ve Waited For Too Long

The Ranch: Part 6 coming December 7

Comedy Specials When You Take a Break from Wrapping Presents

    Vir Das: Losing It
Vir Das is back for his second Netflix comedy special on December 11. Netflix has not released a trailer for the special yet, but the standup announced the special in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel.

    Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable
Ellen DeGeneres is coming back to the stand-up stage on December 18. She has been hyping the special since September and even dropped a promo for Relatable on her talk show.

The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man
This documentary on the life of Bill Murray quietly came out earlier this year, but will be able to be viewed on the site at the end of the year on New Year’s Eve. Maybe it isn’t technically a special, but it certainly is a comedy.

Non-Netflix Comedy Series Because There Are Still Such Things
    Happy!: Season 1
This cult hit finished its first season on the SyFy earlier this year and is available for streaming December 6. Starring Christopher Meloni, this dark comedy isn’t as upbeat as the title suggests.

5 Star Christmas aka Natale A 5 Stelle
Not much is known about this Netflix original, but it is an Italian romcom set in the Christmas season so, whatever, I’m game. Check it out December 7.
