• Fam, Man With a Plan get premiere dates; Happy Together ending at CBS

CBS just announced the winter premiere dates for two of their comedy series, Fam and Man With a Plan.

Fam is a new comedy that will debut on CBS Thursday, January 10, at 9:30 p.m. following their Emmy-winning programming block of The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and Mom. The show stars Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell as a woman “whose vision of perfect life with her adoring fiancé and his wonderful parents is radically altered when her 16-year-old, out-of-control half-sister unexpectedly comes to live with her. As the family Clem (Dobrev) chose and the family she has blend together, Clem realizes that this new happy fam may be the perfection she’s always been seeking.”

Man With A Plan, which is entering its third season and stars Matt LeBlanc, will air on Monday, February 4 at 8:30 p.m. after newcomer The Neighborhood, starring Max Greenfield and Cedric the Entertainer..

CBS also announced that the network’s Murphy Brown revival and Happy Together will both be ending their first season runs after their initial 13-episode orders. Happy Together is CBS’s only new series not to receive an additional episode order. Murphy Brown never faired well in the ratings, unlike hits Roseanne (now The Conners) and Will & Grace. Additionally, the show was costly because it shoots in New York rather than Los Angeles. The fate of the Damon Wayans Jr.-led sitcom remains to be seen.
