Funny Or Die launches Earwolf podcast network, drops video explaining podcast origins

Today marks the dawn of a new era… where you’ll have to visit one less website a day to get your daily dose of funny. That’s right. Funny or Die and respected comedy podcast network Earwolf officially launched their partnership this morning and have created an Earwolf Podcasts page on Funny Or Die.

Some of the most popular podcasts of the moment — Paul Scheer’s How Did This Get Made and Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Bang Bang are now even more accessible with their own page as well at FoD including a welcome video from the host of each podcast explaining what their show is about. The mix between video and audio will definitely be intriguing to see in the development between FoD and Earwolf. An inside source at Earwolf says that Funny or Die will also be developing their own unique podcasts in the coming months, which is news that can only keep those wry smiles on the faces of comedy nerds everywhere.

To round the launch off, there’s an FoD exclusive commemorating the event starring Seth Morris of the Affirmation Nation podcastand Kulap Vilaysack of the Who Charted? podcast explaining how podcasts are made… the Funny or Die way.

Jake Kroeger

Jake Kroeger has dedicated his life, for better or probably worse, to comedy. Starting and continually running the Comedy Bureau, a voice for LA comedy, by himself, he also writes and performs stand-up comedy in LA and watches more live comedy than is probably humanly tolerable. He's been a daily contributor to Punchline Magazine, now because he loves and believes in comedy so much. Said of Kroeger, "...without his dangerously insane, unhealthy work ethic, certain comics would not have any press at all."
