• HBO wants more Lena Dunham, renews Girls blind again

As usual, HBO does not need to see premiere numbers to know that they want more Girls! Five days before Hannah and company’s return, HBO has renewed Lena Dunham’s comedy series Girl for a fifth season. This isn’t new for the premium cable channel. They gave the show a blind renewal last year as well and ordered season three after only two episodes of its second season aired. Lena Dunham’s characters begin to grow up in the upcoming season, which premieres this Sunday at 9pm EST. As a millenial version of Sex and the City, twenty-somethings across the country identify as a Hannah or a Marnie or a Shosh. Now they’re guaranteed at least two more seasons of the girls’ misadventures through New York City (and Iowa). Check out the trailer for HBO’s Girls below and try not to freak out.
