How Larry David was bribed into joining Twitter

Seinfeld creator and star of Curb Your Enthusiasm Larry David has taken the 140-character plunge. He explained his arrival on Twitter with his first (and so far only) Tweet an hour ago:

On March 13th, CharityBribes launched with their first “bribe.” They asked David to join Twitter and received 103 pledges in 30 days to support the request, totalling $10,163 to donate to the Natural Resources Defense Council. He had 30 days to accept the challenge and trigger the donation. He made it in just under the wire — if he hadn’t Tweeted, no pledges would be charged and the NRDC wouldn’t have received the donation.

The total amount of $10,163 will soon be donated to the NRDC. You can stay updated with Charity Bribes, and you can, of course, join more than 4,000 others (and growing quickly) and follow David on Twitter: @larrydavid4
