• Janeane Garofalo, Wyatt Cenac, more raise funds for comedian Liza Dye, who was hit by subway

Comedian Janeane Garofalo will headline a charity show on March 5 to help raise funds for up-and-coming comedian Liza Dye, who was struck by a subway train in New York. The Upright Citizens Brigade theater, where Dye regularly performs, hosted a benefit on Saturday, where multiple comedians – including Aziz Ansari – performed.

According to a fundraising page created to help cover Dye’s medical expenses, the comedian fainted and slipped onto the subway tracks on Feb. 13. According to one report, doctors may have to remove her leg. Still, the 25-year-old seems to be in good spirits; just hours after the accident, she tweeted the photo below with the message, “I’m alive.”
