• Jerrod Carmichael sponsors pee wee football team for Funny Or Die, launches live tour (Video)

    Fresh off his stint at Funny or Die´s Oddball comedy festival and winding down the promotional tour for his upcoming Spike Lee-helmed stand-up special, Jerrod Carmichael is on what you could call a bit of a hot streak. That type of success would get to anyone’s head, but Jerrod Carmichael wants to modestly assure us all that he is the best at staying humble. That’s why he teamed up with Funny or Die and HBO. Carmichael dropped a video that, in the tradition of Ol’Dirty Bastard and Wu-Tang, is “for the children.”

    Watch as Carmichael sponsors a peewee football team, imparts a few nuggets of wisdom (with the help of a slightly unhinged assistant coach, The League‘s Steve Rannazzisi), and ultimately exploits the children as mini-walking billboards for Love at the Store, premiering on HBO on Oct. 4 at 10 pm ET.
