Jerry Seinfeld will collaborate with rapper Wale on new album (Video)

Having conquered the world of stand-up comedy, sitcom television and, most recently, Web series, it makes sense that Jerry Seinfeld would embark on another journey to further his artistic reach. In a somewhat surprising move, however, it seems the iconic comedian is delving into the world of hip-hop. It’s totally true. With a little nudging from his wife, Jessica, the 58-year-old comic is set to collaborate with Wale, the well-respected Nigerian-American, on his upcoming Album About Nothing. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s Jerry:

Lest you think this collaboration comes out of Left Field, it doesn’t. In 2008, Wale released The Mixtape About Nothing, which was filled with Seinfeld samples, lyrics and title track names inspired by Seinfeld episodes and an appearance from Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine on Seinfeld.
