Love was in the air this Valentine’s Day week on the late night talk shows. The lovey-dovey feelings even penetrated some of the stand-up sets this week. Jenny Zigrino shared some dating gaffes while Adam Sandler helped Jimmy Fallon celebrate five years on The Tonight Show with a little serenade. Nathan Macintosh and Byron Bowers, both late night vets, came in with great sets and tight jokes. All are certainly worth watching while your boss goes around offering leftover chocolates from his failed Tinder date.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Nathan Macintosh continues to make the rounds doing stand-up on late night with his set on The Tonight Show last Friday. Macintosh has been on Late Show. He’s been on Conan. He’ll probably be on whatever that David Spade late night show will be once it gets going. This set about food made me really want nuggets—and I’m not even drunk. (Macintosh’s album To The Point is out on Comedy Records March 29.)
Okay, so Adam Sandler didn’t go on The Tonight Show to do stand-up. But Sandler is standing up on a microphone in front of the blue curtain being funny, so we’re going to count it! Jimmy Fallon celebrates five years behind the desk at The Tonight Show and Sandler serenades the late night ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Late Night with Seth Meyers
Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Byron Bowers is a frequent late night comedian with appearances on Comic View and The Pete Holmes Show—and it’s no surprise why. The funny Atlanta native impresses with his network television debut (we get it, Stephen, you wanna debut people) on The Late Show doing jokes about family and mental illness.
Late Late Show with James Corden
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Jenny Zigrino celebrated Valentine’s Day with Conan O’Brien and the Team Coco crowd. Her Conan set goes into the finer points of ghosting and absurd online dating pictures. By the end of her set, you’ll want to chow down on some discounted V-Day chocolates with her as you compare inappropriate Tinder messages.
