• Meet Beth Hoyt, host of My Damn Channel’s daily, live web show (VIDEO)

My Damn Channel, which creates original comedy videos has announced the launch of its brand new show called My Damn Channel Live, which is going to be totally and completely live. Starting on March 28 at 4 pm EST, host Beth Hoyt — actor, writer, comedian — will show original videos, interview celebrities and talk to viewers via Twitter and such. By the way, this happens every day. This isn’t a weekly show, folks. The channel already has programs starring the likes of David Wain and Mary Lynn Rajskur, so their comedy chops are tested.

This show is going to be part of a new trend that founder and CEO of My Damn Channel, Rob Barnett, is hoping to cultivate alongside COO Warren Chao and Director of Content, Jesse Cowell. According to a press release, this channel has more than 30 new shows in the works and Live is going to help in the premiere of some of those.

Check out the below promo with Hoyt, who is adorable and quirky and engaging. I’ve felt bored with “viral comedy videos” lately, and am hoping that these folks can breathe a little life into the trend that has brought us so much joy over the years. Not to mention, Beth Hoyt is absolutely charming. Frankly, I’m bummed that the show is going to take place at 1 pm my time (thanks, time zones!) but I look forward to the premiere and seeing if this format translates. Also, seriously, I want Beth Hoyt to be my new BFF.
