Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock’s upcoming buddy cop comedy looks hilarious (Trailer)

It’s been six months since it was announced that Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy would co-star in a buddy cop flick. In the world of movies, that’s not a long time. So, we were surprised to see that the movie’s first trailer was uploaded just moments ago. Arriving in theaters April 5, The Heat centers around straight-laced but not well-loved FBI agent Katerina James (Bullock) and the rough and tumble Det. Joyce Nelson (McCarthy), one of Boston’s finest.

Directed by Paul Feig of Bridesmaids fame and written by Katie Dippold (Parks and Recreation, MadTV), The Heat features a handful of additional stellar comedy talent, including Bill Burr, Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Saturday Night Live‘s Taran Killam, Tony Hale (Arrested Development), former MadTV player Michael McDonald and many more!

And while the trailer surely doesn’t show a movie that’s breaking the mold of a million other odd couple/fish-out-of-water comedies that have come before it, we have to admit, it sure looks fun. Check it out and tell us what you think!
