• More Julia Louis-Dreyfus! HBO’s Veep, Silicon Valley renewed for 2015

    Julia Louis-Dreyfus star of HBO's VeepHBO’s Emmy Award-winning Veep and freshman comedy Silicon Valley have both been renewed for another season. HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo made the announcement today following a recent two-season renewal of Game of Thrones. The whacky vice-presidential comedy Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus will return for a fourth season. The satire opened up this year with nearly 1million total viewers, keeping it in stride with its season two finale. In addition to Louis-Dreyfus’s two Emmys for acting, the show has received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as other guild awards.

    The new Mike Judge half-hour comedy Silicon Valley about an optimistic young tech start-up has had early success, opening to 2 million total viewers. The show stars many familiar comedians including Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, and Martin Starr. The new series marks a comedy success for the premium cable channel since its failures with Family Tree and Hello Ladies. Its other new shows Looking and Getting On have also been renewed for second seasons.
