Mr. Show returns? (Photo)
A devilishly-teasing photo from Paul F. Tompkins suggests that a big comedy project is on the horizon from his old Mr. Show gang. On New Year’s Eve, comedian Paul F. Tompkins tweeted a picture of him with David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Brian Posehn and Jay Johnston huddled around a table where writing is occurring. Could it be a writer’s table?! Mr. Show is arguably one of the best sketch comedy series of all time. It ran on the uncensored premium cable channel HBO from 1995-98. Odenkirk and Cross gained a strong following from their series that has followed them for two decades. Who knows what the project could be? It might be a live tour (they did a six-city tour last year) or maybe a new TV show. Whatever it is, it’ll surely be hilarious.
Eight men out… of the 1990s. Maybe something new coming from the Mr. Show gang in the new year? #MrShow pic.twitter.com/gBy8CQ49nv
