• Paul Rudd is headed to Broadway with Ed Asner

Our Idiot Brother star and star of just about every worthwhile comedy flick Paul Rudd is joining former Mary Tyler Moore Show star Ed Asner on Broadway this fall for Craig Wright’s Grace, producers revealed today. The play is about a young couple who head to Florida to start a new life, with plans to open a chain of gospel motels. The play will also star Michael Shannon and Kate Arrington.

Rudd is no stranger to the Broadway stage. He made his Broadway debut in 1997 with the Tony Award-winning The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and has starred in Twelfth Night and Three Days of Rain. Asner is returning to the stage for the first time in nearly 25 years. The play, directed by Dexter Bullard, opens Oct. 4 for a limited run.
