• Pete Davidson, Claire Foy get into royal food fight in SNL promo (Video)

Saturday Night Live released their promo for this week’s show with guest host Claire Foy—and it gets messy.

In the promo, Pete Davidson tells The Crown star that there is an SNL tradition that she needs to participate in before hosting the show. The video then cuts to a slow-motion food fight with flirty lighting. Musical guest Anderson .Paak’s new song Tints (featuring Kendrick Lamar) plays in the background. The Golden Globe winner gets silly as she pelts Davidson with everything from spaghetti to chocolate milk. Davidson strikes back handfuls of cake and scrambled eggs.

The best moment of the promo comes when the pint-sized Foy tosses an entire pizza at Davidson like a frisbee, forcing him to fall to the ground. The fun of the food fight quickly stops when the two are caught by castmember Heidi Gardner.

This is Claire Foy’s first time hosting SNL. After playing Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons of the Crown, Foy shifted to film. She stars in two movies that are out now, First Man and The Girl in the Spider’s Web. She also starred in the cult horror film Unsane earlier this year. This weekend we will see if she also shines in comedy.
