• Promposal Rejection Video Goes Viral! Teen Asks Girl To Dance In Front Of Whole School, Then Learns She Already Has A Date

A promposal rejection video may make guys think twice about asking a girl to the dance in such a public forum. The clip shows a mortified teen learning that his dream date she was already going with someone else!

This promposal rejection video apparently took place back in April, but it is just now starting to go viral. That day, a New Jersey teen named Patrick Smith approached  and asked her to prom. But instead of saying yes, she replies back, “I already have a date.” The crowd’s reaction says it all.

Malespina does apologize for rejecting the promposal, and Smith seems to take it fairly well. He’s clearly embarrassed and unsure what to do next, but he doesn’t lash out or get overly emotional. But he did express his frustrations on Twitter afterwards.

And to their credit, both teens involved in this promposal rejection are taking their newfound fame in stride. Malespina has retweeted the video, while Smith even added “Rejection-Famous” to his Twitter bio. And while it’s unclear if he found another date, he’s since had several other proposals.

Of course, this is not the first promposal fail we’ve seen this year. Back in April, a teen named Daniel Pena tried using a series of signs to ask his girlfriend, Alex, to prom. But as they drove down the street past the signs, Alex didn’t realize they were for her. Instead, she noted, “That’s a s—-y way to ask someone to prom.” Only after seeing Daniel’s reaction did she realize it was his promposal.
