Robert Kelly: Live at the Village Underground premieres Friday, pre-order available (Videos)

Robert Kelly and Bobcat GoldthwaitRobert Kelly is set for a stellar 2015. In a few months, the veteran comedian will be seen in Denis Leary’s newest FX dramedy Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll where he plays Bam Bam, the drummer of fictional band The Heathens (fronted by Leary, himself). But before that, in fact this Friday, Jan. 9 at midnight, Robert Kelly’s new one-hour stand-up comedy special Live at the Village Underground will premiere on Comedy Central.

But check this out, you can pre-order the digital download now for only $5. Why would you that? Well, it’s totally uncut and uncensored. As much as we’re stoked Comedy Central is debuting Live at the Village Underground, those pesky commercials sometimes get in the way. So, you’re going to want to get the full download. And what’s cool about the download situation is that you can pay $5 or you can pay more if you’re heart is telling you to do so. “You could give $6 bucks if you want to,” Kelly says. “Fuck, you can give me $100. It’s up to you. Thanks to all my fans for making this happen.” The full download will be available starting April 10. If you pre-order, you’ll get in instant outtake clip to watch now. It features Kelly and Bobcat Goldthwait, who directed Live at the Village Underground.

For now, let’s check out a trio of stellar preview clips from Robert Kelly’s Live at the Village Underground. And if you want to see Kelly live, up close and personal, you might want to check out Laughspin‘s live event this Saturday, Jan. 10 in New York City where we discuss how technology has recently affected comedy. You can grab tickets here before they sell out.
