• Russell Peters, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, Bill Burr want you to donate to Ted Alexandro’s Kickstarter campaign! (Video)

Amy SchumerComedian Ted Alexandro gave us all a tease of what his stellar Web series Teachers Lounge may look like. Now, with good friend and co-creator Hollis James, he’s trying to make even more episodes of the show. Alexandro and James have started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $50,000 to create a complete a 10-episode first season. Teachers Lounge stars the two as a music teacher (Alexandro) and a janitor (James) who hang out in the teachers lounge of their NYC elementary school. Each episode features a different guest comedian playing a faculty member hanging out in the lounge. Some that have appeared in or will appear in the teachers lounge complaining about their students include: Jim Gaffigan, Lewis Black, Dave Attell, Judy Gold, Judah Friedlander, Jim Norton, Michael Che and musician Ted Leo!

The two have shot four episodes already and with your help, they’ll be able to shoot six more episodes. The Teachers Lounge Kickstarter campaign video features testimonials from big time comedians like Russell Peters, Bill Burr and Amy Schumer, who urges you to “cut back a little” on your porn subscriptions and kick in a few bucks towards the cause. Prizes for donating include a Teachers Lounge t-shirt, personalized shout-outs on Twitter and Facebook from Alexandro and James, live comedy show tickets and your name written on the white board in the teachers’ lounge. Donations start at just $1 with the campaign ending on Thursday, June 26. Check out the hilarious Kickstarter campaign video below and then go visit their campaign page and donate!
