Seth Rogen tapped as roastmaster for Comedy Central roast of James Franco

roast-generic 300To pretty much everyone’s delight, Seth Rogen will be the roastmaster for Comedy Central’s roast of James Franco. Rogen announced the news via twitter saying, “I will be ‘Roastmaster’ at the Franco Roast on Comedy Central. It’s to help promote the Russian release of This Is The End.” Rogen and Franco have teamed up multiple times in the past, so we know what an awesome duo they are, making this announcement that much sweeter. They most recently co-starred in the aforementioned summer hit. But before that, they appeared together in Freaks and Geeks, The Green Hornet, and of course, Pineapple Express. While the network has yet to announce who the other roasters will be for the Aug. 18 taping, we’re expecting to see additional This is the End costars– Craig Robinson and Jonah Hill, perhaps? Having Michael Cera sling expletive-filled rants on Comedy Central would also be interesting. The roast premieres on Labor Day; that’s Monday, Sept. 2 at 10 pm ET.
