• South Park will ‘Purge’ on Halloween (Video)

Halloween is coming back to South Park as the series will premiere The Scoots—its eighth Halloween episode in 22 seasons. The new episode will deal, it seems, with the economics of trick-or-treating in a Purge-esque South Park.

“This year, a revolution in mobility is changing Halloween for everyone,” said the Comedy Central website. “Chaos erupts, as every kid is out to get more candy than they have ever gotten before. Mr. Mackey and the rest of the adults are hoarding emergency supplies and hoping to survive until morning.”

Halloween episodes have been few and far between over the course of the previous 21 seasons, but this will be the second season in a row that contains one. In last year’s episode, Sons A Witches, a witch terrorizes South Park and Cartman has relationship troubles after Heidi, who ultimately gets kidnapped by the witch, keeps him from finding the perfect pumpkin.

Other past Halloween episodes include Pinkeye, Spookyfish, Korn’s Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery, Hell on Earth 2006, A Nightmare on Face Time, and Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers.

The Scoots will premiere Wednesday, October 31 at 10:00 p.m. ET on Comedy Central. It can also be streamed on Hulu watched later on the Comedy Central App.
