South Park ‘Stick of Truth’ video game finally gets an official release date

Comedy fan gamers will be overjoyed to learn that an official release date for South Park: The Stick of Truth has been announced. The game joins you, the new kid in South Park, with your favorite cartoon fourth graders in their quest to reclaim the fabled Stick of Truth. In the video game, you will fight various enemies from the show like the elusive underpants gnomes and dirty hippies.

Stick of Truth was originally scheduled for a 2012 release but faced troubles when developers were laid off and the game’s publisher went bankrupt. Developer Ubisoft purchased the rights to the game back in January and have announced that the game will be released on Dec. 10 (Dec. 12 in Europe). Gamers have the options of purchasing the Standard Edition for $59.99 or the Grand Wizard Edition, which includes a Cartman figurine, for $79.99.

Check out the trailer showing the “perilous battlefields of the fourth-grade playground” that you will get to face this winter!
