• Stephen Colbert adjusts the Colbeard for Late Show (Video)

David Letterman and his Late Show are off the air. The famed Late Show with David Letterman sign that hung over Broadway for over twenty years is gone. The dawn of Stephen Colbert (Round 2) is upon us. CBS launched the website, iOS app and social media accounts for Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday. With it, they also launched a new Late Show podcast and intro video. ColbertLateShow.com will now be your new fix for Stephen Colbert content until his Late Show launches on Sept. 8.

In his first produced video since leaving The Colbert Report in December, Colbert addresses the enigmatic beard we’ve seen on the Internet. He “adopted” the Colbeard after he “found it by the highway.” Sadly, CBS is making him shave it off because “Tom Selleck’s mustache has a non-compete clause.” Late Show on CBS returns with Stephen Colbert doesn’t return soon enough for middle America and fans not enamored with The Nightly Show. Check out the video below as he figures out what his face will look like when he returns to 11:30 in the fall. And continue to check in at ColbertLateShow.com for more updates on the late night host’s new gig!
