Steve Carell’s ‘Office’ finale gets an extra 20 minutes

Steve CarellI’ll admit to being pretty sad about Steve Carell’s looming departure from The Office. As in I might cry in two weeks when his final episode airs.

There is some consolation, though, in the fact that NBC has announced it will extend Carell’s final episode on April 28 from 30 to 50 minutes.

Even with the longer running time, expect a jam-packed sendoff with crazy guest stars (Will Ferrell, Ricky Gervais anyone?) and about three billion “that’s what she said jokes.” Man, I’m already wistful. This is gonna be rough.

Check out the show April 28 from 9-9:50 pm EST, followed by a slightly longer Parks and Recreation (9:50-11:30pm).
