The ‘Simpsons Take the Bowl’ for live performance featuring Weird Al Yankovic, Hank Azaria, Matt Groening and more!

After 25 years on television the team behind The Simpsons still know how to get its rabid fans excited about the iconic animated series. For the first time ever, the cast of The Simpsons will appear live on stage— but only for three nights (Sept. 12, 13, 14) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Dubbed The Simpsons Take the Bowl, cast members like Hank Azaria – he voices Apu, Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum and many others – Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith (Bart and Lisa Simpson) as well as guest stars “Weird Al” Yankovic, Jon Lovitz and Beverly D’Angelo will stage original performances as well as scenes from some of The Simpsons‘ 500-plus episodes.

The Simpsons live at the Hollywood Bowl

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening will also be on hand telling behind-the-scenes stories and premiering never-before-scenes on the Bowl’s big screens— all while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra provides a live score. And if that’s not enough, there will also be a fireworks finale—because, why not? Ticket information will be available at the Hollywood Bowl’s official site. But based on Ticketmaster’s page, it seems tickets will run as high as $188.

The 26th season of The Simpsons will premiere this fall on Fox.
