• Tim Meadows got angry about being left out of SNL sketch but then wasn’t angry

Saturday Night Live alumnus and comedian Tim Meadows is not happy with the show that launched his career after this past Saturday’s episode. The Bill Brasky sketch has been done over the last couple decades with a combination of Meadows, Will Ferrell, David Koechner, Mark McKinney, and/or guest players. The NBC late night show brought back the sketch last week with Ferrell, Koechner and guest host Paul Rudd (all of whom appear in the upcoming Anchorman sequel). With McKinney, the four exchanged stories about the legendary salesman Brasky and accidental life overshares while at a bar over drinks. Meadows, who appeared on SNL from 1991 to 2001, was left out of the sketch this time around.

Not too happy about the omission, Meadows took to Twitter to express his discontent. According to TMZ, he tweeted: “They did Brasky without me,” and “Not even a ‘hey would you want to come to do one line and bring your kids to see the 5 directions…?’ Nothing…Wow…” (The boy band One Direction was the musical guest that episode). He followed the rant up with, “I will never watch SNL again.”

Meadows history with the show is a bit rocky after his SNL sketch-turned-movie, The Ladies Man, was a total flop at the box office. The comedian allegedly wrote, “Sorry the ladies man bombed. If it would have done better they wouldn’t treat me like a red-headed step child.”

All of the tweets reported have since been removed from his feed, including apologetic posts including, “I’m not mad at the show…I talked to a friend on the show who said it WAS a last minute sketch.” “I acted like a baby. I’m happy for all of my friends success and will always be grateful and proud to have been a part of SNL. That being said don’t forget to see ‘Anchorman 2’ coming soon to a theater near you.” It appears that even Meadows is being used as an Anchorman 2 promo.
