Tony Rock will host Jamie Foxx’s new sketch show for Showtime

We’re hearing that on the heels of his recent ill-fated and now canceled Fox sketch comedy series In The Flow with Affion Crockett, the multi-talented Jamie Foxx is now producing an R-rated sketch show for cable giant Showtime. And veteran comedian Tony Rock – brother of Chris Rock — is attached to the project.

“Rock told us that he is hosting the new Jamie Foxx Sketch comedy show that is currently in pre-production,” the Humor Mill reports. “Rock told us that Foxx saw him perform and loved him and bought him on board for the new show.”

This news also comes days after the Fox network announced it would be bringing back the sketch show In Living Color, on which Foxx – along with Damon Wayans, Tommy Davidson, Jim Carrey, David Alan Grier — got his start in the comedy business. More specifically, the network said that they’d be airing two In Living Color 30-minute specials “based on” the original series this coming Spring– produced and hosted by Keenen Ivory Wayans, the man who created and executive produced the original show.
