Triumph the Insult Comic Dog wants a ‘Golden Collar’ award and you can help (Video)

You’re probably not fully aware of what the hell the Golden Collar Awards are, so we’ll break it down for you as quickly as possible. A group called Dog News Daily, who publishes information about dogs in the arts and promotes canine actors, runs something called the Golden Collar Awards, wherein they recognize, in part, the work of dogs in film and television. This year’s awards show goes down in Los Angeles on Feb. 13. And here are the nominees:

COSMO as Arthur – BEGINNERS (Focus Features)
DENVER as Skeletor – 50/50 (Summit Entertainment/ Mandate Pictures)
HUMMER as Dolce – YOUNG ADULT (Paramount/Mandate)
UGGIE as The Dog – The Artist (The Weinstein Company)
MAXIMILIAN as Blackie – Hugo (Paramount)

But here’s the thing. That Hugo dog wasn’t originally on the nominee list so the film’s director Martin Scorsese made a stink and got him on the list. And now Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is majorly pissed. So, he’s launched a campaign to get himself on the ballot. He explains the situation below. In short, you need to get thee to the Dog News Daily page on Facebook and start bombarding them with requests to add Triumph.
