• Two and a Half Men star Angus T. Jones calls show ‘filth’ and says he wants out (Video)

“Choose you, this day, who you will follow.”

That’s one of the ominous demands Angus T. Jones, longtime co-star of Two and a Half Men asks viewers in a nearly 15-minute video, wherein he all but announces he’s done with the hugely popular show, due, in part, to his religious beliefs.

“It’s bad news,” he says about the show on which he’s played Jake Harper since 2003. “I don’t know if it means any more coming from me, but you might not have heard it otherwise. So, just watch out, because a lot of people don’t like to think about how deceptive the enemy is.” We can only assume the “enemy” is “Satan.”

“He’s been doing this for a lot longer than any of us have been around,” the 19-year-old actor continues. “So, we can’t play around. There’s no playing around when it comes to eternity.”

The video, shot for religious group Forerunner Chronicles who boasts the motto “The Truth is the Truth,” also features Jones directly telling people to stop watching the CBS show that has brought him fame and gobs of money. He even says he doesn’t want to be on the show anymore.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” he says. “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television.”

It’s possible the video represents some sort of prank, but it’s highly unlikely, given this religious group’s standing as an advocacy organization. You can watch the entire video below.
