• Watch comedian Cy Amundson’s television debut on ‘Conan’

It seems like yesterday I was at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival (RIP), hanging out with talented comedians– one of which was Cy Amundson, a tall viking of a young man. He had jokes (good jokes) and an engaging stage presence– not to mention a great attitude and a tremendous work ethic. I also think I made him hug me. If I remember correctly, he was also good at that.

At that point in his career, he was honing his craft at his home club, the Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis and toying with the idea of heading to Los Angeles. He stuck it out in his home state a while longer — especially since the Acme is hardly the worst place to call home — but is now in LA, writing and performing. And last night, Amundson appeared on Conan—  his television debut. Check out his set below, and be sure to keep an eye on Amundson in the next year or so. I get the feeling we’ll be seeing and hearing about him a lot more.
