• Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are idiotic politicians in The Campaign (Video)

If you watched the special 30-minute presentation of Between Two Ferns on Comedy Central on Sunday — and stayed in the room during commercials — you’ve already seen the hilarious, faux political ads starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as Cam Brady and Marty Huggins, respectively. The ads, of course, are all part of the marketing push for the new movie The Campaign, out in theaters Aug. 10.

The film centers around Brady (“Schools is this nation’s backbone!”) and Huggins (he wants to get rid of daylight savings time), who campaign against each other for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. At first glance, it seems Brady is George W. Bush-esque and Huggins is, um, SETH Galifianakis-esque. Zach fans know about his Southern brother character, Seth, first made popular on the comedian’s stand-up concert film Live at the Purple Onion. Well, Huggins = Seth.

Check out both political ads below and tell us what you think!

The Campaign co-stars Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Dan Aykroyd and more. You can get more info at the just-launched Facebook page for The Campaign.
